I heard it once said;
"The greatest pain a heart can bring is to love somebody it can never have." I suppose this is what I was trying to capture. This is a relatively quick painting by my standards - 10-12hrs Acrylic On Watercolour Board 9x6 in EDIT: I have slightly retouched the highlights and shadows, as I was never fully satisfied before.... Not that it makes a huge difference, but the devil is in the details! |

I'm actually going to do just a bit more shadow and highlight work on it in a couple of places I think - just to draw a bit more definition in a couple of places.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist sometimes!
It's good to be a perfectionist sometimes! I know I am when I paint.
